As a first generation American, Dr. Rudolph Bennardi was indeed an example of someone who is living the dreams of his ancestors. After graduating from Williamsport High School he began his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Rudy had two uncles, one a physician and the other a dentist and both of those men played an influential part in his life. Dr. Rudy jokingly says that he finally chose dentistry as a career because the education didn't take as long. Whatever the reasoning behind his selection it was obvious to his many patients that he made the right choice. Dr. Rudy graduated on August 13, 1954 from the University of Pittsburgh. He moved with his wife (the former Mary Ellen Russell) and two daughters Anna Maria and Theresa to Montgomery, Pennsylvania. He began practicing dentistry in Montgomery and soon needed a larger office due to his growing patient list. He moved his office into The Masonic Building on South Main Street, Muncy in 1956 and in 1957 he purchased the building at 42 South Main Street, Muncy, the last move for a practice that continues to thrive and grow because of Dr. Rudy Bennardi's vision and dedication to providing dental excellence.
While Dr. Rudy's dental practice grew, so did his family. Anna and Theresa were joined by siblings, Cecelia, Joseph, Patrick and Mary Colleen. When questioned about what he would consider his fondest memories it was the birth of each child and not fillings, root canals or extractions that Dr. Rudy considers treasured memories. |
